From the Sports Desk of the Department of In Search of Lost Time: Nets vs.Sixers, Lance vs Mrs M, January 7, 2021:
I'm such a good husband. Want to know what a good husband I am? I'll tell you what a good husband I am. Mrs M, as many of you know, is a Philly gal. The 76ers are her basketball team. The Sixers were playing the Nets tonight. Mrs M went to bed early though and didn't watch the game with me. When I went in to say goodnight, I told her the Sixers have the best record in the NBA this season so far. They're 7-2. I didn't tell her they entered tonight's game 7-1. I didn't tell her the Nets beat them 122-109. I didn’t tell her they did it without Kyrie and KD. I didn’t tell her the Nets are still without Spencer Dinwiddie. I didn’t tell her Joe Harris scored a season-high 28 points, sinking six of his nine three-point attempts. I didn’t tell her Jarrett Harris had 15 points and 11 rebounds. I didn’t tell her what a good job Caris Lavert did starting in place of Kyrie. I didn’t tell her that Shake Milton, Joel Embid, and Dwight Howard all had good games for the Sixers and it didn’t matter. The Nets led pretty much the whole game. I didn’t tell her any of that. That's what a good husband I am.
