Kaleberg

I have a warm spot for this movie because I knew a guy who worked for the CIA in Iran in the early 1950s and later in the late 1960s. On his first tour, he, then his wife were the first to be evacuated if things went south. Then came the ambassador and his wife.

I also had a number of friends who were close to Jack Kirby. When they needed a storyboard for an adventure movie on a three day deadline, they went to Jack Kirby. Kirby was a powerhouse of ideas and productivity. Did you know that Kirby, in addition to everything else, also did all those 1950s romance comics?

Watching the movie was like being with old friends and remembering their stories.
