And, you note, the "rights" that this sad little sticker demands aren't the right to free speech. The right to life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness.

It's ONE right, the right to "keep and bear arms", that gets this little sticker-sticker-on-er going.

As if that right is the only important right, the only worthwhile right, the right that empowers and enables and trumps (you see what I did there...) all the other rights.

Dear Lord, I know that the world is full of unreflective dullards, of meatsacks full of nothing but wind and bile, impressed with themselves alone. That if the term "average intelligence" has any meaning at all, it means that half the human race is below that average.

And yet...days like last Tuesday, things like this mean little sticker, have an enormous capacity to depress me. The human race has had nearly two million years to work out that ape-rage, that simian obsession with its genitals and chestbeating displays to impress the other hominids. Instead we seem to want to cling to those sub-sentient obsessions. We want our guns, and our little Gods, and our mean, angry, selfish little yowling greed.

If there was a God she would most certainly have become bored and irked with her experiment in "free will" and terminated the whole Human Project long ago...
