My next-door neighbor underwent the exact same thing ten years ago. These days, he's healthier than ever and still busting my chops! Modern medical procedures are nothing short of astonishing, so hang in there, both of you -- and we'll be praying for you.

Well, at least there is a diagnosis and a plan to deal with it, but how worrying this will be for everyone until the surgery is over. Please know that all of your fans and friends are thinking of you now, and we are sending good wishes to all of the family.
Thanks for the link describing this condition -- I had never known anything about it before.
And one more thing -- I just did a Google search for inspirational phrases and found this one: "She has fire in her soul and grace in her heart." Somehow, it reminded me of Mrs M.
