I'd argue that James Buchanan was a villain president as well. Otherwise, I'm in full agreement.


LBJ also rammed through the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Act. Oh yeah, and Medicare and Medicaid. He was a mean pig-fucker though. That's one of the things that made him effective. My father used to complain that JFK was all excuses, but LBJ got things done that benefited the working man and benefited minorities. Granted, he also got us Vietnam.

Hunter Thompson once explained that LBJ would never have been nailed by Watergate. He'd have locked all the conspirators in a van, set it on fire and pushed it off a cliff. Then he'd read their eulogy noting that he warned them all never to ride in the same van.
