Did I miss it, or is this going to be the extent of your review of CA:TWS? I've been waiting to hear from one of Cap's foremost fans, short of Phil Coulson.

You want as well as.

Also: "Spider-Man." Not "Spider-man," "Spiderman," or "Spider Man" or any of the other endless misspellings. Poor guy: only geeks remember how to spell his name. Similarly: "Iceman," not "Ice Man."

Gary, "Spider-man" was a typo, I swear. But I did goof on Iceman/Ice Man. Both are fixed now. Thanks for the catch.

actor212, I'd never heard of Amalgam. Thanks for the link.

BetterYeti, it's in the hopper and will post tomorrow, I hope. Trouble is, it's hard to write about Cap because I'm such a fan.

El Jefe

O frabjous day!

Been waiting for the CA:TWS review since, well, late April. Knew all the while that this would be the single best place on the internets to get it (and then to compare notes -- did you notice shadow Redford in the credits sat in the same position and the same general type of chair as Don Draper in his show's credits, only facing the viewer?) I honestly can hardly wait. Good fun reading this review as well; speaking of Seventies hat-tips, I thought the gunpoint-at-home/unexpected death in TWS was a beautifully specific reference to Three Days of the Condor. Now if they'd only found a role for Max von Sydow....

My only regret, at all, about TWS, was that when Jenny Agutter finished clobbering her way through that scene near the end, the reveal was not that her character is, in fact, Emma Peel.

And now I may need to see X-Men in the theatre, on the strength of your review.
