Blog artist, travel writer, nature writer, world wide adventurer and explorer, current Ph.D. candidate in History, birder, ace photographer, sometime surfer, and long time friend and patron of Mannionville, Sean Paul Kelley, was traveling a leg of the Silk Road back in May with his father and took this on the walkway to the shrine of the Imam Zayd in Merv, Turkmenistan. The bird’s a European Roller and had just plucked a grasshopper out of the air in mid-hop.
And because some of you I know will want to know, Sean Paul shot this with a Nikon D3200 with a Nikkor af70-300 lens.

Katherine! Welcome back! It's great to hear from you. And a happy belated birthday!
I did get into the exercises. Thank you for turning me on to them. Unfortunately, new problems developed with the nerves in my back and legs and I couldn't manage them anymore. But if all goes well, I'll be back on my feet before summer ends and then I'll be able to get back to them.
Meanwhile, please don't be a stranger!
