The President of the United States and a janitor. Not if Romney had won.

Terrorist fist-bump powers ... activate! Awesome.

Mark P.,

Yep. It's why I was able to cast an affirmative, not just a preventitive, vote. Sounds like you, too.

El Jefe

As a side bet, how long before we see a by-line that says, more or less without translation: "DEMOCRATS IN DISARRAY AFTER ELECTING BLACK MAN PRESIDENT TWICE, GAINS IN SENATE"
and from what source?

El Jefe

Two last thoughts:

erratum: there should be a "did" after the "you" in my first comment.

Also, I would pay cash money for a dedicated streaming channel of Karl Rove losing it over Ohio live on Fox News, played on continuous loop. Small minds, small pleasures, I suppose. But it couldn't have happened to a nicer fellow.

Great photo, thanks

Apparently, it's from December 3rd, 2009, but appropriate for the occasion.

B, yes, it's from 2009. One of my favorites, though. And one to have at the ready any time some pundit says the President doesn't like people.

El Jefe

"any time some pundit says the President doesn't like people."

I'm not at all surprised, but I believe those pundits have been asked to spend a couple of weeks re-upholstering furniture for the Newport beach house Nate Silver will buy with the proceeds from his book about all this.

My one substantial regret on the day is that my godfather -- a tall, thoughtful, gay New York Dutchman -- passed at 82 a few weeks before he got to see the down-ticket results of this cycle.
