You got to figure it’s fun just to read words like “Oh, Rob,” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” which is in my spell checker and why wouldn’t it be?

Trouble is that once you’ve read those words you’ve pretty much had Van Dyke’s career summed up for you.

*GASP* just completely dissed Diagnosis: Murder!

Did you know that DVD (heh!) created the computer animation for that show? Does he talk about that in the book?

Reilly's one-man show is streaming on Netflix at the moment, as is his X-Files episode "Jose Chung's From Outer Space."

David Hallerman

My wife and I saw "The Life of Reilly" on Netflix the other night. Didn't know what to expect, since we neither loved nor hated Charles Nelson Reilly.

But his autobiographical one-man show? We loved that. A real person there, with humor and sorrow and just someone we cared about.

Saw that the day after seeing a Tony Kushner play, "The Illusion" -- another great piece of work -- where the theme that performing artists move you and get inside you through their skill with illusions was echoed by Reilly's show/movie/documentary.

Dave, who says just because they are illusions don't mean they ain't real

Leo Leahy

The Reilly movie really is worth seeing, particularly if all you otherwise knew of Charles Nelson Reilly is the Ghost and Mrs. Muir and Hollywood Squares.
