Lots of Oscar related movie reviewing below, but something new is being added soon.
Theatre reviews.
I’m going to start reviewing plays.
First up will be Double Falsehood, which is being produced by The Classic Stage Company where the acclaimed production of Chekhov’s Three Sisters is finishing it up its run this week.
I’ll be attending the show Sunday, March 20, and, I hope, post my review the next day.
Once upon a time I used to do this on deadline and could see a play that dropped its curtain at 11 and fly back to the newspaper office and have my review written and filed by midnight.
This is one of the reasons I like blogging.
Room for procrastination.
At any rate, if the plan comes together, I’ll be doing these once a month. I’m very excited about it. I think it’ll be good news for the blog and its reader, expanding the scope and interests of the one and adding lots more company to the other.
More variety. More fun.
Of course, it’s an added expense, so…you know…
If you enjoy what goes on here and are glad we’re back and would like to help keep the blog going strong and you can swing it, please consider making a donation.
Thanks to one and all for your encouragement and support, with extra thanks today to Jim Wolcott and Matt Zoller Seitz.
