The results of my successful hunt for fresh peaches the other day, fresh from the oven. I’m not allowed to have any though. The blonde baked this peach-blueberry pie for a charity auction this afternoon. My pie will be baked tonight. That’s her story, at any rate.
Peach and blueberry is my favorite combo this summer. We've made a lot of crumbles this summer. We just had one last night. Yum.

Miz Mannion makes a good-looking lattice crust, which incidentally has the appearance of delectable flakiness. I'd bid on that pie.

I'd bid, too. Perfect rustic lattice. -- Reminds me of why I love to bake pies, though I have been doing mostly crostadas lately - Talk about return on investment: such a breeze to put together, so satisfying. Why I bet Lance and the boys could easily whip up a crostada for her before all the best fruit is gone!

Victoria, The boys voted. I'm not allowed to let Mrs Mannion read your comment. But I passed along yours and Janelle's compliments on her lattice work. The pie fetched $40 bucks at the auction. We spent $25 ourselves on an apple pie that frankly doesn't look anywheres near as good.
Claire, I'm very proud of myself for allowing this one to get out the door. But I'd better get one of my own like I was promised.

Worth every penny! Don't forget to post a picture of your pie...

$40! Great -- she must have a rep, too. What's the recipe?
