Same storefront on Seventh Ave. Around noon today. Wonder how long it’ll be before they sell the kids and the lions. Here’s a question. Who in this part of New York City’s going to buy things like this? Don’t you need to have a lawn? Or are there that many people in Manhattan with large living rooms and weird senses of humor?
There used to be a few stores like that in La Jolla; D always had to remind me to lower my voice outside them, because I was inevitably making disparaging comments about the merchandise. I assume that the people who shop in them are wealthy, with big houses, and not a lot of taste.

Lance, you'll often find...um, sculptures...like those in hallways and lobbies of apartment buildings.
That part of the city, near Carnegie Hall unless I miss my guess, has an awful lot of high rises that have one or a handful of apartments on each floor.
You'd be amazed at the crap that some people want sitting by their elevators.
