One hour to the Season 3 premiere of Mad Men. Mad Mannionites get ready.
Since Freddy Rumsen got fired, Falstaff is the only one at Sterling Cooper who likes his job. Maybe because he's the only one there who's in on the joke. Look at that wink.
Claire Helene has too much on her mind as she makes her way to Don's office to give another big sales pitch.
But Don's not there. He's at a cocktail lounge where Neely has caught his always wandering eye.
Meanwhile, back in Ossining, Betty pours her heart out to Victoria.
Victoria has offers a personal reminiscence by way of an intro to tonight's Season 3 premiere, in which she explains the allure of the show, the allure of the period, and the pink glasses she gave to her Madmanized self.
Stay tuned for more Mad Mannionites. Coming up next weekend, domestic strife and feminist conscious raising as Linkmeister's avatar meets Simone's.
Falstaff keeps pulling that boho look, he's going to be out on his ass quick.

Heh. The thing that kills me is, when I carefully went through all the clothes that actually looked like something I'd wear, I realized I'd assembled an outfit that would have led to me being coldly told told that "this isn't a romper room."
Amusingly enough, I'm talking about an ensemble that would scan as, at worst, "semi-formal" in most places today, including corporate America.
On the other hand, maybe the boho thing is why my avatar there is smiling so wide. Heaven only knows what I've got in my pipe.

Mr. Director, sir, when does my character make an appearance?

Link, baby, relax. Your entrance is coming up. You'll be leading off the next scene, and your part is key. I'll be posting the next batch on Friday as a lead-in to my lead-in to the next episode. Now, can I get you something? An Evian? Will somebody get Link an Evian?
