Mannion wished he'd had more time to study the diagram. As he stared uncertainly at the tangle of wires he naturally thought of that time in Istanbul when he tried to talk Snodgrass through defusing a bomb.
It wasn't his fault the radio had cut out when it did.
Still.
"Um, Snodgrass," he said into his mic, "Could you put the lieutenant on?"
He didn't like the sound of ol' Stubby's answering laugh.
I needed that fix!
