Mannion hated it when they cried like that.
"It meant nothing. NOTHING!" she said through her tears. "It's you I truly love. You must believe me."
He considered this. He didn't believe her but now didn't seem like the best time to re-start that argument.
He could feel his grip slipping on the rope and those crocodiles looked hungry.
