You want to see his real, unwrapped face?
Why ever for?
That's the 11 year old's homework assignment. His sixth grade class has been studying Ancient Egypt for the past few weeks and so the news that King Tut's head is going on exhibit along with the other relics from his tomb that have been traveling around the museum circuit came at just the right time.
His class read the newspaper articles, watched a video clip, and then were given the question to answer in a short essay last night.
Unwrap the boy king? Yea or nay?
Presumably the anti point of view has to include more than, No, it's yucky!
What's to be gained, scientifically, culturally, spiritually, whateverly by our being able to look at Tut's mummified mug?
What do you think?
The 11 year old took the pro-ghoul position and he's already written his essay, so you won't be doing his homework for him.
Here's the link to the King Tut Exhibition's webpage.
And here's the official theme song:
It won't be pretty, it appears now that young king Tut died from several nasty head wounds in a hunting accident involving his chariot. Not unlike the way Diana met her untimely end. I bet there were conspiracies back then too, was the chariot rigged? Was he high on beer?
It all comes back to whether you believe Humpty Dumpty fell or was he pushed?

Wow just looked at the face, very different from what I saw last week on the Disc. Channel. They showed the scan of his knee which broke right above the knee joint OUCH!; and the left side of his head where there appeared extensive damage. Ofcourse we are seeing his right side there but it looks like no head trauma in that photo.
Is it too much 4-1-1 to know the royal bippy survived?

When I was looking at the (admittedly small) pictures on the newspaper about this, what struck me was that the shape of Tut's head, and the shape of the heads of the men who were unwrapping him, were surprisingly similar. I don't know why, but I thought it was pretty neat.
