The Office Max guy belongs on The Office, not on Heroes. I like that Glasses Guy showed him what fer.

Not too much of a stereotype, the cavalier and callous Englishman... I think Hiro is going to wind up taking his place.

"A super meet-cute just happened."??

Chuck may look like Greg Brady, but you're sounding like Marcia...

Ooh ick, Sulu go splat!

Elayne Riggs

"What's that?" Robin: "It's a container of fake accents!"

No, but I have a feeling you flipped your hair when you typed that.

OK- I got the reference. It's been a long day.

Thanks, Elayne, thanks, Jennifer, for stopping by.

Can't say they're off to a rollicking start. But I'm willing to be patient. Not so the 11 year old who says, "The problem is they cram so much into on episode that there are lots of to be continueds and I can't wait till next Monday."

Elayne, looks like they're going with the redeem the rogue plot for Hiro.

And shoot! I forgot to turn off the captcha test on the comments. I'll make a note of that for next week.

Tim Hardaway killed Sulu!

Fun to compare notes the day after. I too yelled out, "VOYAGE of the Beagle, you idiot!" and "Costa Verde, gimme my Nissan!" Great minds and whatnot.

Here in the heartland, we lost TV signal during a violent thunderstorm, right when English Kensai (former Alias villian whose name I forget), is explaining to Hiro why he, Kensai, is not a hero. Black screen for 30 agonizing seconds! I did catch the "salt and saffron" line, though.

Jack Rudolph, action Executive is--

Oh, wait.

Hayden Panettiere is almost dwarfish, and with those thighs...

Holt McCallany has been to Ireland. He's lived in Ireland. He has parentage of Irish descent. So, uh, what the hell?

Aaaaaand just to wrap this up and combine Studio 60 with comic book-y heroism again, your favorite and mine, Sarah Paulson, will be playing the love interest in the Frank Miller-directed movie based on The Spirit comic books by Will Eisner.

The mind, as they say, boggles.

I agree with the 11-year-old. Too much, too soon. I found Alejandro & Maya boring.

I want to know what happened to Nathan. He won the election in a landslide--did he resign? Was he impeached? How did he end up as Ray Milland in "The Lost Weekend"?

Dan Coyle

A woman best known for recently playing a screechy, needy jerk on TV is cast in a movie written and directed by a man who has even more bizarre women issues than Aaron Sorkin. It is to laugh.

Nice recap, but two quibbles (although I defer to those with more complete memories even though I watched the entire Season 1 dvd just last week): I don't recall Nathan's politics being revealed. His only public utterance we ever saw was his victory night speech and I don't recall him saying anything that wasn't generic "We won" blather. Granted he could have been a Republican, but it just wasn't shown/discussed. Second: do we know that the secret group is a government organization? I thought it was more of a bunch of rich folks (although some may have government connections). OK, so I'm a geek.
