Lady McBeth of Blue Street, a digital painting by Idyllopus.
I never comment here when one of my favorite bloggers decides to close up shop. It's not because I'm a heartless, unfeeling, soulless bastard, although I am. It's just that whenever it happens that someone I depend on for a smile, an insight, a jolt of intelligence to help get me through the day announces they're hanging up the keyboard, I go into denial.
"They'll be back," I tell myself confidently, and I believe me. "They always come back!"
Sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't. And sometimes they sort of come back, but not completely, not often enough, just enough to drive me crazy with hope and frustration, and a belated happy birthday to you anyway, Rana, thanks a lot.
Idyllopus has come back!
She's taken down the shutters, turned on the lights, and thrown open the doors, and her digital paintings and essays are available again to help make me less of a heartless, unfeeling, soulless bastard and help make you a happier, wiser, saner traveller in Blogtopia (TM Skippy).
Stop in at Idyllopus' place and tell her Lance sent you. Free samples of html code if you mention my name.
Hat tip to Jennifer at Saying yes...
If I come back on a more regular basis, I'll be sure to let you know. :) (These days, my book is eating my head. *sigh*)
Off to visit Idyllopus...

There's a reason I never took down my link to Billmon. And never will.

Lance, you know that Michael Berube is blogging weekends at Pandagon, right?

Thank you, Lance.

Berube is going to be back on a regular basis on Crooked Timber and make it less stodgy.
BTW, I've been a reader for a while and I really like your blog.
