Twenty years ago today, inspired by a production of Cymbeline at the Stratford Festival, I made this birthday card for the girl I was dating at the time.
Two decades later, she still has the card, and I still have the girl. Amazing.
Happy Birthday, Mrs Mannion.
Love,
Mr Mannion and the junior Mannion men.
"Dating" -- is that what the kids call address-sharing these days? If so, I'm amused.
Hey, I was there! At the play, and at the birthday party. I remember the card!
Happy birthday to the Blonde.

Happy Birthday to the Blonde!
(Twenty years ago? That can't be right. You started dating Mrs. Mannion when she was 9? Because I'm fairly certain that she, like me, is only 29.)

Happy Birthday, Mrs. Mannion.
To be or not to be 29? I say...to be! I'm sure Shakespeare's Sister would concur.
Sorry. I don't know any famous lines from Cymbeline. I found this one using The Google...
Never was a war did cease, / Ere bloody hands were washed, with such a peace.
Just couldn't figure out a way to work being 29 forever into that one.
Have a great birthday.

Yeah, 20 years ago when Lance was 90... the Blonde must like older men...
Happy Birthday, Mrs. Mannion! May the day be kind to you!

Ditto the birthday wishes! 29 is such a fine age to be. For as long as possible.

Thanks for your good wishes, one and all!
Love to Mr. Mannion and my boys.

I missed it too. Yesterday, I mean. I feel I'm especially remiss in saying "Happy Birthday."

Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.
Happy Long Life...see you soon!
