Not really orcacam. Wizkid is on here too. Even if he hasn't posted in a while. And you haven't posted in just as long. I'm not going to force you but I think you should include everyone.
I know that most have you have never heard of this NBA team but they are our team. Just like the Saints.
(them, you may have heard of because they wern't always the best NFL team in the league but look again because they are hot this year!)
Well as everyone should know, N.O. has had a rough year lately but with these two important teams back it just shows that this city is getting back on its feet!
Hi everyone! I'm back! YAY!!! I loved your passage, halabebe. That WAS one of the best parts in the book! I loved it. Made me smile. I hope Lemony gives some more spoilers on the Horseradish book and the two new "A Series of Unfortunate Events" books coming out May 1st. Can't wait for them. LEMONY SNICKET WILL NEVER DIE!!!
HI ya'll. Sorry it's been a while. School has been driving me crazy. Well I didn't read the spoilers yet. It sounds like The End is quite a read though. I'm closer to getting it. I went down a lot from being 171'st on the list. Almost below hundred now. Oh I can't wait to read it! Then I'll e able to add in my views too. Then again, I'm closer to getting The Beatrice Letters first so I may read that one before it... Ah well. Anyhow since I really can't add much to the conversation I suppose I should wait till I've gotten it. All I can say is that, Lemony Snicket seems to quite enjoy keeping his readers in suspence. Perhaps none of these myseteries will ever be revealed to us. They're enigmas. Though one thing is for certain, as halabebe said, Lemony Sniket will always be.
hey guys i just thought of something wouldn't it be cool if Lemony
(Possible Spoiler)
Snicket Published A book called "A Series of Unfortunate Events" But this time it would be the book ASOUE in the thirteenth book the baudelaires read? What do you think?
I would pay $30 for that book orcacam07!!! That or the Snicket File or the book that Jerome Squalor had published in TPP that was burned in the Hotel Denoument. Any of those would be extremely informative and interesting. Daniel Handler, if you are reading this, please take this into consideration and tell Lemony about it.
Wizid-it's called old fashioned counting. All you need is ten fingers (or then this case: 50) and a LOT of time. I was REALLY bored.
Deana-um sorry but, What?! You may have me confused with Wizkid. It has been a while since you were here. You may be looking at the names above each post. Just remember, The name of the person who typed the post appears underneath it.
As Wizkid said: LEMONY SNICKET WILL NEVER DIE!!!
Orcacam-How is that a spoiler? But good idea!
Wouldn't it be cool if Mr. Daniel Hander was silently following our posts? That would be so Amazing!
Hey Mr. Hander! ASOUE is one of the best books I have ever read. And I have read a lot of books. Also I have always wanted to be a writer and I enjoy practicing on this site.
Halabebe, I'm here! lol I really can't wait for the Horseradish book. WOW That'll be cool. Maybe he'll do a TNN.com type of thing for it when it gets to be Feb. or March. hmmm... Hope so. LOL! YAY! Lost is on tonight! Season finale. Do you guys watch? I love that show. What did Deana said that I had said??? K I'll post tomo.
Oops. I messed up there didn't I... I apologize Wizkid. Orcacam, that would be incredible. I would wish him to make such a book. For it would be one on greatest intrigue.
Oh in btw, this is a bit off topic but in French class we've been studying poems by a man named, Émile Nelligan. He's a French poet but my dad found me a book with all his works, in English. I found three that caught my eye. The titles are:
Beatrice
Charles Baudelaire
The Tomb of Charles Beaudelaire
I'm going to post the Beatrice one. I thought ya'll might like it... He has rather intersting poems though most are rather abstract:
Beatrice
At first I saw an oaken cradle where
A sleepless baby roared in raucous key
Until a black-eyed grandchild entered there,
A pale, dark girl from pleasure’s bondage free.
Dreamy is her brow; haughty is her air
In a white dress that fits her beautifully;
Her charm is goodness; all her mind soul’s care
Is sinless truth that will not cease to be.
Dear child, let your life flow on in this way;
Help, pray, believe; console those in misery.
May this short song be your sweet melody!
I lift my gaze toward the sky-blue dome
Where the stars swim in night’s ethereal home,
Finding you more pure than their purest ray.
Yes House is quite a good show... I find him to be an interesting character in general... I just watch him occasionally though. Depending on how I'm feeling. As for Lost I used to watch it but this year I couldn't because of cadets... It's 8 on Wednesdays over here and Cadets runs from 6-9.
HEY There is this contest and- oh Deana already said it o.k. well that's fine.
The reason i could not come on yesterday was because the supid FEMA trailor i live in right now does not have very much power and anytime a storm comes the power goes out. Actually it was out for so long last time that i had to spend the night at my dad's office (and believe me that's like a 5 star hotel compared to this place) because at night you can't see a thing around here without a light. Also this place doesn't have any hot water so i haven't been able to wash my hair in like forever. :(
i guesss this is my own little series of unfortunate events. lol
MY BIRTHDAY IS EIGHT DAYS AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also my since it is the day after Thanksgiving I am off of school so I won't have to be in this place for my birthday! This rocks I am soooooooooooooo going to take a shower. lol :)
Wow this board has taken a turn for the worst. It may be beyond hope. How can it survive? Nothing new to talk about, no books in the near future, nothing to look forward to. It's a time for locking oneself in a cabinet, drawer, or other small space and hiding from the tedious world that is Earth.
What to do...what to do...
There is little hope for unanswered questions, mysterious mysteries, and fragile clues that could lead to one's imminent death.
What to do...what to do...
Should one run away forever? Or never leave the house again? Which extreme will one choose when they are left to make that decision? Each is treacherous, with more cons than pros. Each is disastrous, with more yawns than tomorrows.
I'm sorry about that halebabe, I do pray that all will turn right. Happy Early Bithday in between. Wizkid, it does indeed seem like things seem very dim in the near future of this board and the series. We can perhaps dicuss our own observations, perhaps try to reveal a mad about of opinons and such to cope with trying to get explanations to our questions. Though one may lock onself up in a house as you say, it is a question of choice as well. Does one chose to get locked up in an empty cold cellar with nothing but an ever diming lightbulb for light. The candles too dangerous to risk use of in such a place where anything could set off at an unexpected moment... In itself life is a danger, as risk, and the world has many surprises in stores. The truly amazing thing is when we have surprises for the world... If only there were some way... Are we to die with the secrets revealed unto us? If yes, would it be a loss or a gain? To whom and for what? All one can do is pray, and try to keep faith that all will be well... Only to question, if it ever is...
Hey guyz!I finished THE END the other day and its really good even though it doesn't answer many questions...Can I just get something straight? Isthe Beatrice who Lemony dedicates his books to the Baudelaire's mother?
To Mr. Baudelaire, yes Lemony was writing to the Baudelaire's mom, Beatrice. Because WHY would he love Kit's daughter (EWWW I'M NOT EVEN GONNA GO THERE). So hope that proves to you that it is Beatrice, Baud's mom, that he is refering to.
hey i had comented to what wiZkid had said and i don't see it. oh well i will say it again.
Oh yes. That is right Mr. Baudelaire. Well Wizkid is right. I would have said the same thing but i did not think about the questionand I am sorry but I don't like to think about it too much, it is all very confusing and makes my brain hurt. Ow.
As for who he was dedicating his books too, it could be either of them. He could respectfully love his neice as a caring uncle should or he could have fallen in love with the Baudelaire's mother from whe they were children. He could dedicate these brilliant works of art to either of these brilliant people but he does say that the Beatrice died in a fire. For we know that the Beatrice Baudelaire who is the mother did, in fact, die in a fire, the Beatrice (who is his neice)her death is uncertain.
Is there something wrong with the site? or is there something wrong with the people who are not posting? maybe it was just me and i forgot to hit post on my last message. maybe some people have been posting and it wasn't getting through. maybe i'm just crazy. these are just a few of the possibilities.
I left last monday and since then not a single person posted after wizkid and what should have been one of my posts, correct?
Probably everyone left to go to family over the vacation like I did but still did anyone post?
I posted on the other site. I told people how to get here. I told them we would talk to them here. I told them that we would here there ideas, intrests, and comments. It won't die if we stay alive.
Hey ya'll... Why is it so quiet? Oh dear... No... It can't be... As a wise name named Benjamin Disraeli once said, "Silence is the mother of truth." Let the truth not be death to this thread, or as earth be my witness, the World is Quiet Here... Let there be no silence, only peace...
Hey Orcacam! Oh goodness, it is good to see you... Why must it be quiet? I read on a site, the LS Message Board: The death of a site is only as miserable as you make it. Though it still pains one to see such an act. If only it need not be so real, so true...
I pray you all have a lovely day, depending on what you see as lovely.
As I said on Monday, November 27, it's all over. There's no one left. No one left to talk. No one left to post. No one left to discuss. There's nothing left to talk about. Nothing left to post. Nothing left to discuss. It's all over.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, too. And Ramadan, Kwanza, etc.
I do believe that the book has been discussed more than feasibly possible, and, as depressing as it is, there is nothing left to talk about pretaining to this thread or post or whatever it is. As I do see that no one's been here since the 18th, I dont know that anyone will come again, but at any rate... I think maybe it's time to officially end it. As much as we'd all like to deny it, we're done. We're going into a new year, the books have ended, and they've all been discussed. I'm not going to stop you posting, but maybe it would be better to officialy end it instead of everybody just not coming anymore (i think we've pretty much already done that. i havent posted in a while, but i've been reading!)
Oh yeah! That is a great New Year's Resolution! But let me ask: Who should be the one to 'oficially' end this site? Well, if you think you are the person to do it then go ahead. But it won't make any diffrence. The site will die or hang on by a string with out your help so anyone who wants to do that, then I say:
for anyone who wants to know or for anyone who even cares: we got out floors in our house this week. except now they need to sand it and then put a varish on it so it will be all shiny and stuff. so it might take a while.
out of 52 times.
except not it is 53 posts and i have posted 23 times

Wow this board has taken a turn for the worst. It may be beyond hope. How can it survive? Nothing new to talk about, no books in the near future, nothing to look forward to. It's a time for locking oneself in a cabinet, drawer, or other small space and hiding from the tedious world that is Earth.

Oh yeah! That is a great New Year's Resolution! But let me ask: Who should be the one to 'oficially' end this site? Well, if you think you are the person to do it then go ahead. But it won't make any diffrence. The site will die or hang on by a string with out your help so anyone who wants to do that, then I say:
Go Ahead
with all due respect,

p.s.
for anyone who wants to know or for anyone who even cares: we got out floors in our house this week. except now they need to sand it and then put a varish on it so it will be all shiny and stuff. so it might take a while.
with all due respect,
halabebe
