Kevin Wolf has a post up where he mentions a bicycling bear -- I don't think it scared him though, just perplexed him.

I love *paws akimbo* -- cute idea and name for a children's book.

I think you should have called this one, "Elwood: The Early Years".

Is "Harvey" still in copyright?

Uncle Merlin

I once had to play the 7 foot frog of Frogg Lane Bar & Grill when it opened in Fanueil Hall back in 1981. Since I was 6' 6" I had to parade up and down the Quincy Market Buildings spreading good Frog will everywhere.
I came upon this boy, he was definetly interested in striking up a conversation with the 7 foot FROG. I could tell he was a city kid, he came up and shuffled his feet on the ground and said with all sincerity
" Aw shucks I catch your TV Show all the time I'm a big fan"!!!

I never thought of Kermit at the time we were so Magic Pan Corporate in those days that Frog Lane was our frog.
I never had to do it again either!
