i'll give you an example -- you take a picture of a friend or relative and there seems to be a tree growing from the top of his/her head.
it's a mistake in perception.
i know a little about this because my brother has been a professional free-lance photographer for 20 years, and worked as a staff photographer for three newspapers for 10 years before he went out on his own.
i'll scratch your back if you scratch mine.
yeah, i know the incoming bird only looks like it's scratching the other bird's back.
