The 8 year old is home from school today with a bad cold and a bit of a fever. He's asked me to write this post. He also wants me to put in some coughing noises so you know he's not faking.
Cough cough cough cough cough cough!
He added that exclamation point himself.
Just so you know.
He expects to feel much better tomorrow!
That's his exclamation point too.
Now he's telling me to post this, so I will.
Wednesday morning health update: First thing after he got up this morning, the 8 year old announced, morosely, to his mother, "I don't want to go to school today, but I have to. I'm all better."
Actually, he still has the sniffles but his cough is gone, his temperature's down, and he got a good night's sleep. He says thanks his friends who left their good well wishes!
Dear 8 year old Mannion,
I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well. That's a terrible cough you have! I can hear it from here. You did a great job helping your dad with the post. He should let you help him all the time!
Take care and feel better.
Elsie :)

Master Mannion:
Sorry to hear you're under the weather. I too am often affected this time of year with maladies of one sort or another, although more often on the day following Mardi Gras. Do feel better soon, and you can never use too many !!!!!

Dear Grandson- Please get better; you wouldn't want to be sick on your birthday.
Love,

Oh, little Lance, take care of yourself and you'll feel better soon. So glad you can spell "cough" correctly, too.

Hi Youngest Mannion,
Hope your first day back at school was not confusing and that you caught up with everything just fine. It's amazing what can change in a day.
Stay well! Love to you and all the other Mannions,
Cindy
