I'm getting a complex.
Nance has been talking more about sports than I have. I've been at this for two months now and I think I've had one post devoted to sports, and all I did was put up a picture.
Even more embarrassing, I think she now knows more about sports than I do!
If that's the case, though, maybe she can tell me. Can the Pacers replace those four guys or do they have to play with only six guys for the duration of the suspensions? How can they keep that up? They get Miller back after one game, but he's an old man! Won't this kill him?
Anyway, it looks like an interesting b-ball discussion's building in Nance's comments section. If it doesn't get de-railed by a Sponge Bob thread.

I was rooting for the derailment - but alas, the ugly thuggery of that sporting event appears to be un-derailable.
I found it somewhat humorous that the first guy that Artest attacked was not only the wrong guy - but also he still had HIS beer in his hand!!
Root cause of (all too common) fan misbehavior - alcohol
That said, I was taken aback by the nearly instant reaction by ESPN analysts (ex-players) that this was the fault of the fans!
Yes - the fan who threw the first drink deserves to be arrested for assault.
Artest deserves an assault charge for his helter skelter attack into the stands, as does the other guy (Jackson?) who followed him. I could understand a team-mate following Artest into the stands in order to GRAB ARTEST(!!) and pull him out of there, but not to also attack one and all!!
All in all, and given the baseball pitcher's chair attack into the stands a few months back, and the knife fight at the awards show, I believe I'll stay in the cheap seats way up high!
Except as a race fan, the EXPENSIVE seats are the high ones!

I don't watch as much sports as I used to because I can't stand the talking heads. They just won't shut up, and since when you get right down to it there really isn't that much to say about any game they've come to see it as their job to stir up "controversy."
Your chance for a SpongeBob thread is up above, Brian. But only if everyone promises not to imitate SpongeBob's laugh.
