Pick some large patch of Trumpland. Rust Belt. Farm Belt. Doesn't matter as long as it's predominately white and working class.
Now count the votes.
Lots for Trump of course. But look. HRC got plenty of votes in those places too.
Thousands a thousands of people who "should" be "Trump voters" didn't vote for the loudmouthed racist demagogue.
What did Trump do wrong? Why didn't he get their votes? Might have won him the popular vote.
Or to put it a more useful way for Democrats: What did HRC do right by them? Anybody ask them? Why did they vote for HRC?
Those are the residents of Trump Land we need to talk to. So ask them. How do we keep them? How do we get their family and neighbors to join them?
Remember , the political media is focusing on the ones who voted for Trump in order to justify all the flattering coverage they give him
"Look at all those regular hardworking economically anxious regular (we mean white) Americans who voted for him! We can't ignore them. We must sympathize with them!"
But like I said, thousands and thousands of good hardworking economically anxious regular (i.e. white) Americans voted for her.
So again, what did she do right and what can the Democrats do to follow it up and improve upon it? Done for now.
