Photo by Tom Brenner of the New York Times: “President Trump with Senators John Cornyn, left, Dianne Feinstein and Marco Rubio on Wednesday at the White House during a meeting on gun control.”
This is just me maliciously reading into this photo what I want to see, but I’m cracking myself up seeing this as Rubio looking miffed that he had to sit through this charade, Feinstein appearing to completely ignore the President, Cornyn looking around to ask “Can somebody tell me what just went on here?” and Trump himself posing like he’s in a local history pageant in which he’s playing Columbus saying “Sail on! Sail on!”
I’m writing a post about the New York Times story this picture accompanies. I’m not being kind. You should read it. New York Times political reporters take as their first line of defense the accusation that anybody who criticizes one of their stores hasn’t actually read the story. I always read the stories. You should too: A Week of Policy Surprises Leaves Even Trump’s Supporters Confused.
