What a great post, Lance -- thanks. I missed it the first time around -- back then, I usually didn't bother reading any posts about Trump because he was such a joke, he couldn't possibly win, especially running against Hillary....
Oh well, so much for that.

When I was a kid I met plenty of people who knew what Nazis looked like. They were mainly around my parents' age. A lot of them were refuges. Some had been lucky and had gotten out before the war. Others had survived various work and death camps where they had an even better opportunity to meet and study Nazis. Your two descriptions of people in the last paragraph are not in any way mutually exclusive.
