Um, well, if you want to disregard the past thirty years of the actual comics, I guess that's right.

But back in reality, Batman and Superman haven't even been friends since the John Byrne reboot in 1986.

I have a great deal of trouble with claims about ongoing stories that ignore the last several decades of story.

Let alone claims that this ignorance is what "true fans" know. I'm sorry, but that annoys me. I guess those of us who actually care enough to have kept reading the comics for the past thirty years are the fake fans. What really makes one a true fan is paying no attention to the comics because you don't care enough. Apparently.
