Nothing has convinced me that Senator Warren would not be of more help to the country in her current capacity than as a candidate for the Democratic nomination. So I say, "Stay, Liz, stay."

Next you'll be trying to tell me that politics is about policy, and not a form of self-expression, of social signalling, where I tell people how I feel about myself and the world by my choice of consumer products -- in this case, candidates.

Good luck with that.

Seeing JD's comment reminded me that there was something I wanted to ask when Lance first made this (excellent, I think) post.

Maybe someone can explain this for the Aspergers-ridden former mailman. Hasn't Senator Professor Warren (TM Pierce) said approximately eighteen million times that she has no interest in running for president, is not running for president, and is not going to run for president?

I genuinely don't understand this. Why would she lie about that? -- well, more to the point, why would anyone assume she was lying about that? It's not like being a member of the freaking U.S. Senate is a small-change position for trying to do good in the world.

(And by the way, Davis X. Machina, you made me snort so loud that it scared my four year old. I appreciate that.)

If this woman has half the brains she's supposed to have, she will not run for president ever, and certainly not in 2016.
