I wouldn't take up much of his time. I'd just like to shake his hand and say thank you. Maybe, maybe, if he didn’t my asking, hear him tell one of his favorite jokes.
Saw the movie today.

It was a terrific joke, though.

I hope you had the chance to hear the This American Life's piece yesterday on the Dakota War in Minnesota, which resulted in the hanging, on Lincoln's orders, of 38 Native-Americans. It's really possible that Lincoln's greatest perception is cut into the granite of the Lincoln Memorial, wherein he muses on the curse laid on generations to come. He got a lot of things right. He also, in a sense, brought General Sherman to the Great Plains.

You didnt mention that Lincoln actually pared down the orginal list of those to be hanged.
