i cracked a whole room of musicians up when they saw me setting up the line6 laptop/amp/floorpanel/variax setup i use for electric guitars (it has taken my gear profile down by more than 50%) somebody remarked "a laptop to run a guitar?"
i said "age of the geek baby" in my best hardison. later while they were all busying themselves twisting knobs and stomping individual effects pedals and changing guitars and sometimes amps in between songs to do things i had already programmed i just laughed at them.
