Five-thirty Sunday morning. July 15, 2012. Moonrise Kingdom is the Wes Andersoniest Wes Anderson movie yet. There’s more Wes Andersoniness packed into its two hours than in all the other Wes Anderson movies put together.
This is not a compliment or a knock. It’s a matter of taste. It’s like how much chocolate syrup you like in your chocolate milk. There’s a lot of chocolate syrup in Moonrise Kingdom is all I’m saying.

This is usually not my kind of movie, but I went with The Brunette and quite enjoyed it.
