Haven't seen a comparable scene here in over a month. My lawn resembles nothing so much as the bristles of an old-fashioned scrub brush.

friday we had the unholy combination of 106 degree heat and rain. it went from too damned hot to close to unbearable that fast.
most of the rain failed to make it to the ground due to evaporation. think about how it would feel to live inside a turkish bath.
