i knew that was a Morgan and not an MG because in the early 1950's when i graduated high school and started university i was completely crazy for MG's / i dated a Midshipman who bought one when he graduated from Annapolis / i loved that car / my best girl friend and i used to go to car dealers and test drive whatever MG they had / that was so much fun / the dealers were pretty lenient about our tootling off for a hour or so / smile / i never owned one though / my first car was a 1947 Chevy coupe when i was 16

And do you know what makes the Morgan unique? Its wooden frame. Yes. Wood.

The director of my Ann Arbor fellowship owns one, found for him by the former editor of Car & Driver. I always thought of it as the ultimate expression of English eccentricity.

Morgan also made a 3-wheeler, with the unpaired wheel in the rear.

IIRC, Peter Sellers' character drives one in the opening sequence of "The Party"
