PA Reader

Thanks, Lance. I plan to bring it with me to Florida this weekend and will watch it when Young Reader and I aren't in the pool or watching the Phils.

I don't know if this role was written specifically for Martin Sheen but it certainly seems that way. His public persona is of an individual who is "gentl[e], with warmth and humor based on affection, and without judgment." He has had well publicized issues with his son (Charlie Sheen). He is a man of great faith.

I imagine the reason he is so genuine in the film is because he didn't have to do that much acting.

PA Reader, You're off to spring training? For many people, that's religious pilgrimage itself.
