This is a show I wanted to like. Concept and Danson and Gallifianakis all got me to give it much more of a chance I would have otherwise, but this did not click for me. It struck me as disjointed--and not in a good way. I never felt a consistent tone, a thoroughness of plot and the characters aren't deep enough, or superficial enough or, really, just engaging enough for me. Disappointing.

I disagree about Danson--I enjoyed him in Damages much more.

"Decisively, Ames took action and pleaded with the director to do the firing."

I see you've slipped in comedy at the end of reportage. Good on ya.

Madeleine Begun Kane

Fun review! I'm a big fan of Bored To Death and of Dick Cavett. And I too think Ted Danson was great in Damages.
