Old Mother Blonde’s dining room table. After Thanksgiving dinner.
That's the five star---four kinds of berries plus apples---the mince, a pumpkin, the blonde's homemade apple---the candles on it are for our nephew who just turned 18---and a pumpkin roll. I only tried the five star, the mince, and the apple, but twice each.
I hopes every one had as nice a Thanksgiving dinner as we did, with at least as many choices of pies.

Had a good dinner and afternoon with friends. We had two kinds of pie -- pumpkin and pecan. I brought home leftovers of both pies.

You and the Obama's! I noticed their Thanksgiving menu had very many pies. Trying to remember now... pumpkin, sweet potato, banana cream, huckleberry, apple, cherry, and something else? - Of course, I read an interview with Obama in July in which he said the WH pastry chef makes absolutely the best pie in the world, so clearly the Obama's wanted to share that personal blessing with their family and friends.
Here, we went simple. Leg of lamb, a fabulous salad, a baked mashed potato dish with a middle layer of mushrooms, leeks and spinach, and pumpkin cheesecake with maple whipped cream... and still ended up like slugs. How did that happen? We were so sure we had outsmarted it. Next year, I may go the whole way down to miso and a pumpkin jelly bean just to see if it's something in this holiday's air!

My niece has gone mad for spice cake, so in addition to the Safeway pre-fab punkin pie we had a giant two-layer moist and fluffy cake with yellow-and-orange frosting (that was supposed to be autumnal colors, I think, but she's from Hawai'i; what's she know from falling leaves and their colors?). It was good.

There were five pies in three forms: pumpkin, apple, and blueberry pie. I wasn't going to, but I knuckled under and ate some of each.
They were all very good, but the best part was I didn't have to make or help make, or buy ingredients for, any of them.
