Updated.
Finally, the Media's getting down to the most important details of the Spitzer scandal.
What "Kristen" has posted on her MySpace page.
And this just in! A twenty-two year old woman who can get away with charging several thousand dollars a day for her company looks good in a bikini.
Who'd have thunk it?
I learned all this from the New York Times too. I didn't even have to stand in the check-out line at the supermarket to find it out. I don't know why anybody thinks we need a better press corps.
Updated to ask who needs a better press corps when we have novelists like John D. MacDonald?: Nance quotes Travis McGee on pros like Kristen and the operations they work for.

From the NYTimes:
In 2006, Ms. Dupré changed her legal name, according to records in Monmouth County Superior Court, from Ashley R. Youmans to Ashley Rae Maika DiPietro, taking her stepfather’s surname since she regarded him as “the only father I have known.” But in the interview, she referred to herself as Ashley Alexandra Dupré, which is how she is known on MySpace.
But every one knew her as Nancy.

How long does her fifteen minutes of fame drag on? I have a bar mitzvah to get to...

I love MacDonald. His sexism was the sexism of the man who LOVES women.
Very pithy writing, a lot of great wisdom pouring out of McGee and even more out of Meyer.

I still mourn the passing of Mr. MacDonald (...and his economic lessons via Meyer were pretty good, too).

I believe it's "Kristen"—a true entrepreneur, apparently—but not to be confused with Miss-I-was-played-by-Sarah-Paulson-after-I-Was-the-Evil-Glinda.
