Falling Slowly
Best song. No question. As the man said, "Make art."
The whole soundtrack is terrific as a matter of fact. And the movie itself is pretty darn good
too.

The highlight for me had to be the win for Once. Hansard was clearly nervous during his performance with his battered guitar, and his acceptance speech was as wonderful and sincere as the film itself. Having Irglova brought back out was unexpected and touching. Indie musicians and filmmakers, shooting a film for 100 grand over three weeks, expecting only to sell DVDs at their concerts, and they win an Oscar for a great little film. Well done.

Doesn't this remind you of Cat Stevens? I've thought that since the first time I heard it.

How GREAT was Marketa's acceptance speech? This was my favorite win, too. LOVE.

Call me shallow, but I loved that guitar. No flashy sponsored loaner for him.

Linkmeister - I've seen Glen Hansard play a couple of times over the last four years and he always has that guitar with him. I grinned when I saw it on stage. Too cool.

Link, Have you seen the movie? That guitar is practically a character.

No, but I'll look for it on DVD.
