From this morning's Times Herald-Record:
About 12:15 p.m., a flatbed trailer from South Fallsburg-based MB Consultants, also known as Murray's Chickens, got on the Exit 107 on-ramp, en route to Route 17 eastbound and Monroe with hundreds of caged, live chickens aboard.
"I was coming around the turn..." [the driver said.] "Next thing I knew..."
You can take it from there.
Driver wasn't hurt. A few chickens came to a fowl end.

There are some--not me of course, but some--who would take umbrage at your suggestion that the Three Stooges are not, in fact, art.

A few chickens came to a fowl end.
Not bad, but I would have gone with "Police suspect fowl play."
