Pen-Elayne will drop by tonight to take on the guest hosting duties for the last installment of Studio 60 live-blogging before the show goes on hiatus so that NBC can try out The Black Donnellys, which looks like yet another attempt to foist a show about lunkheaded, sentimental, borderline alcoholic Irish-Americans with ethnic stereotype anger management issues onto the public. Every few years the networks take turns failing to make this premise interesting.
At any rate, tonight's your last chance for a while. Stop in to jeer or cheer or to offer that one piece of creative advice that will make the lurking Aaron Sorkin---you know he sneaks in here every Monday night and hangs on our every word---slap his forehead and declare, "YES! That's it! That's exactly what this show needs, why didn't I think of it myself."
Or just come by to say hi to Elayne and root her on.
Live blogging begins at 9:50 PM, Eastern. 8:50 Central. Be there or be square.
