Finally, a very fortunate event in a Series of Unfortunate Events
I have a whole bunch of regular readers who have been looking forward to today for a long time.
Today is the day Book the Twelfth in Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events comes out.
For months now these regular readers have been patiently trying to figure out the title of the new book by working out the coded hints Snicket left on a webpage called The Nameless Novel. These readers, among whom is my niece Violet Mannion, have developed a wonderful and interesting thread on this post, The most unfortunate event in a Series of Unfortunate Events. You should look at it. It's impressive the way they've set out to help each other out. Now the book is out and it's time for a new thread, a phrase that here means a new space for them to post their thoughts about the new book and whatever else is on their minds, which they need because the old thread has grown to over a thousand comments, and that's just unwieldy, a word that here means, loading the page takes forever and can cause your computer to crash.
Book the Twelfth is called The Penultimate Peril and here is the new thread. Enjoy! The world is quiet here.

Hey it's Count 54 again. Third on!! I did wonder if they were going to tell us the title sfter 4 months of waiting. The uk cover is slightly different each time so it isn't really revealed to me until i see my version. Welcome to the gang ROBERT D. Where do you live? (you don't have to tell me it's just that i got to know everyone else on the other thread). I'm probably going to be the last one to finish the book coz it's not out at the same time in Ireland (at least i don't thibk that it is). when you all say that your reading the books i might leave the site for a while till i get the book and finish it. But you can bet i'll read all the posts and go straight back ointo the site after. Well See Yall

Thanks Rob. Your nicer than The Robert i know. But i wont get into it. I don't know anything about book the thirteenth. But should we worry when were only starting 12. Did any of you actually read the 1st chapter. Ididn't. I don't want to ruin the suprise. But the 1st chapter is usually LS talking about things and introducing the story.

Okay I guess I'm lucky number 7 on this new thread. It's true, it did take a while to load ALL of the last thread. Welcome Rob. You're a friend of Caspian's? Well I'm part Spanish, Europian, and Canadian. Odd mix, I know. You were very close. Hello is "Hola." I myself can only speak Spanish with some difficulties. I can't spell and read it as much. But my mom never really took the time to teach me to read it. I sort of just picked it up. Hey Invader ZIM I haven't heard from you in a while... Well about today's news, I'm so happy it's finally out almost everywhere! It just seemed like forever to get out and now it seems like it came quickly, then that could account for my activities occupying my time... I finished the book in one day as soon as I got it. I am now really proud of myself. The book has a real twist in the end. I don't want to spoil it for everyone. :)

hiya guys! and yeah, your email adress would be swell! caspian, i sent the twelth book back to you yesterday. hey guys, did you know, he went to a lemonysnicket convention and passed the series of unfortunate events questionaiire? he got all but one right... thats 99/100 correct! he then proceeded to win an early copy of the twelth book, an' this was all the way back in august! i was there, i only got 78/100, but i won a signed copy of mr snicket's photo. (that is not his real name, did you know?) the prize was stiiil good! caspian is supposed to be the second most best artist in britain you know... he got his dinosaur drawings put up in the natural hist museum! he won the whole artist's comp! anyway, yeah, i'd looove your email add.

~~~~~I'm in the middle of ch. 2. (i had to finish inkspell....which was ssoooo totally awesome) right now in the 12th book. Dn't worry, this doesn't give anything away: nice backwards letters.....hahaha...... I don't think there were enough of that kind of "jokes" in the 10th and 11th books. Like in one of the books, the "never never ever ever ever ever ever...." lasted two pages, and in the E.elevator, there are two pages of black.~~~~~

I'll be back in about a week or two. I'm gonna wait for all of you to finish Book 12 and then we can finally talk about the arcane people and other things in the book. Plus, I need to finish a book report on the book. Arcane is a word which here means "mysterious," if you didn't know.
